JOE VIGLIONE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENCY OF MALDEN ACCESS TELEVISION: IT'S A NEW DAWN!
Fri, Jun 4 at 6:42 PM
As Ari Taylor is running for City Council Ward 5 in Malden (I am in Ward 2) I would like to run for the presidency
of Urban Media Arts.
Please alert me to the next board meeting which I intend to speak at.
Also, I will be speaking at the Malden City Council regarding the public accommodations law,
as I did at the Medford City Council on June 1. Ari Taylor has a link to the VOD of my speech.
I will have it on YouTube soon.
As president I want to evaluate the current staff and the operation of the station.
My experience in Access dates back to 1979 when I hosted TV Eye in Somerville on Day Street.
One of the founders of the Infomercial calls my program "The best show on access television in the country."
My guests have included Jodie Foster, Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones/Bob Dylan, Bill Press, formerly of CNN's Crossfire,
Suzanne Vega, Judy Collins, Senator George McGovern, Mayor Menino, Malden's Norman Greenbaum (generously introducing
Norman to Ron Cox)
Joe Viglione is quoted and thanked in many, many books; is published in many books, quoted in the New York Times and
Boston Globe.
Joe Viglione did the community a service having the Honorable Judge Yee put an Harassment Protection Order on a former board
member of Malden Access Television.
Read that again. The stalker would not leave a party; she lied to Ron Cox that she had a restraining order on her victim.
The victim showed the actual HPO to the police who informed the stalker that she had to leave ANY PLACE where her
victim was, or showed up. She lied to Stop and Shop management as she did to Mr. Cox and FLED both places when
she could not prove her lies. She lied in a police report claiming she would NEVER go back to Malden Access TV again.
That is the kind of behavior that is unacceptable at a facility that is supposed to have accommodations for the public,
not someone running out on the tarmac of Logan Airport.
I remember a Medford TV station that was a cult and a closed club. I shut them down when the racism was exposed.
Racism that I alerted city hall to in 2002. It took eleven more years for the use of the "n" word to be exposed.
Racists in Medford, stalkers in Malden, that is not access television.
Ari needs to step down if she's campaigning for public office as it is a conflict of interest in my mind.
Controlling the powerful access airwaves during an election cycle and public perception are the question, aren't they?
A former board member of Malden Access TV was appearing at my Medford home repeatedly, taking photos of
a private person and putting a meat cleaver dripping with blood over my head. The judge was furious. The threats
from the stalker that she had a "legal family" resulted in her lawyer back pedaling and a judge finding "animosity."
I didn't even know the woman. But to have an obsessive/compulsive fixated and violent individual allegedly
teaching the children of Malden after lying in a police report that she would never go back to MATV again is
not what Mayor Christenson deserves at his public access station as Issuing Authority.
We can do better, Malden. I have the management skills, the background clearance check, and the "passion"
(that's a quote from Ron Cox to Paul Donato,) the PASSION to give the citizens of Malden what Mr. Donato
calls THE MOST PROTECTED RIGHT. Political Free Speech
Let's build a new Malden station and remove the current toxic atmosphere that embraces censorship
and denies the citizens this free press platform
Respectfully,
Joe Viglione
Candidate, president of MALDEN ACCESS TV
Yes, we're going back to the original name.
